Bracket's calculators are built to be as accurate as a general-purpose, browser-based tool can be — but they are estimates, not assessments, and they can't account for every detail of your personal situation. Please read this page before relying on a result.

Pay Calculator Australia

This calculator estimates take-home pay from a gross salary using the 2025–26 ATO income tax brackets for the residency status you select, the Medicare levy (with the standard low-income phase-in for a single person), and HECS/HELP compulsory repayments under the marginal system. It does not account for:

  • Superannuation contributions, salary sacrifice arrangements, or novated leases
  • The Medicare levy surcharge, private health insurance rebates or offsets
  • Tax offsets such as the Low Income Tax Offset, or other deductions and credits
  • Multiple employers, other income, or reportable fringe benefits
  • Family-specific Medicare thresholds, or the Seniors and Pensioners Tax Offset
  • State or territory payroll tax, which is paid by employers, not employees

Your actual pay, and your eventual tax return outcome, may differ from this estimate. For a figure you can rely on, refer to your payslip, myGov income statement, or a registered tax agent.

Stamp Duty Calculator NSW

This calculator estimates standard NSW transfer duty using Revenue NSW's thresholds effective from 1 July 2025, and applies a straight-line approximation of the First Home Buyers Assistance Scheme concession between the exemption and full-duty thresholds. It does not account for:

  • The foreign purchaser (surcharge purchaser duty) surcharge
  • Off-the-plan duty deferral, or concessions for build-to-rent or other special property classes
  • Exemptions for transfers between spouses, deceased estates, or related-party transfers
  • Mortgage registration fees, transfer fees, or other settlement costs
  • Land tax, which is a separate, ongoing state tax

For an exact figure, use Revenue NSW's own calculator, or ask your conveyancer or solicitor to confirm the duty payable on your specific contract.

General

Nothing on this website is financial, tax, or legal advice, and Bracket is not a registered tax agent, financial adviser, or law practice. Rates and thresholds are reviewed periodically but government figures can change between reviews — always check the calculator states the financial year you expect before relying on a result, and cross-check anything significant with the primary government source linked on each page.
